UK businesses can win a share of £1.5 million to work with Turkish businesses on solutions to challenges in the agri-food sector in Turkey.
As part of an official visit to Vietnam, the UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond paid a site visit to the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) on 12 April 2016, accompanied by the British Ambassador and the British Council Country Director. The Foreign Secretary was warmly welcomed by VAST senior management and Newton Fund awardees currently working at VAST.

The Weather and Climate Science for Service Partnership (WCSSP) South Africa is a strategic collaboration between the Met Office and the South African Weather Service (SAWS). It is an integral part of the Met Office's portfolio of work within the Newton Fund - part of the UK Government's official development assistance (ODA). The aims of the Newton Fund and WCSSP South Africa are to develop science and innovation partnerships that promote the economic development and welfare of collaborating countries.
